Phys rep guns and where to get them

Post by Tonya » Fri Jul 27, 2012 10:59 am

Ryan/Duck has spoken to Airsoft Armouries re phys reps and they are happy to sell to members of SGLrp. This is all legal and inline with the VCR Act.

In addition I know that Ed and Orev are also talking to airsoft suppliers in the same vein. Please email me the details of the suppliers so that I can send out the relevant email and insurance details.

Following the previous list being questioned for phishing etc, we have come up with a new idea to make this work. I will send the email but request the suppler to send our membership secretary an email to confirm membership. This can be carried out quickly and will save any misunderstandings.

Many thanks,

Tonya,

You should have all the relavent details for Fire-support via facebook.

Let us know when it's up and running, I have a wish list from them just waiting to be ordered :D

Edit: Starting with http://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/i ... g-launcher

The phishing comment was meant as a joke didn't mean for it to be taken seriously

Sorry to cause an issue

It may have been in jest but its a very good point. This part of the boards isnt secure (and perhaps should be). In fact it has probably prevented an issue so thank you :)

Both Airsoft Armouries http://www.airsoftarmoury.co.uk/ and Firesupport http://www.fire-support.co.uk/ are now in posession of a copy of our certiificate of insurance. As I understand it, members of Stargate LRP should now be able to buy your physreps from either store. If there are any problems please let me know.

Can I ask Ryan and Orev to check I have the correct site adresses above please? Also Ryan, as you are negotiating any discounts could you please use this thread to let us know anything you arrange. Thanks both for making this happen :)

Also, someone else (Ed?) asked about another supplier. Please pm me so that we can get the ball rolling with them also.

Tonya, how do we confirm that we are paid up members of the Society? Do they have a member list or something?

When a member places an order they need to let the supplier know they are a member of Stargate LRP, then the supplier will ping the Membership Sec (Gail) a message to confirm.

This is the safest way to do it as some people would not want their names out there and the membership list is always updating.

It is the safest and most considerate way to do it (that I can think of), yes, and it's also the one that's most hassle for the committee, so... thank you guys for doing that for us! Hopefully it won't be too bad :)

It's no hassle and it protects the society from it's name being mis-used too, so we are more than happy to do it.
