Summary

The internal layout of the Alliance Class
The Alliance class corvette represents the coming together of the best of Alliance technology fused with well understood Goa’uld technology. This fast multirole vessel is designed to be easily reconfigured to allow it to take the place of several specialised designs. All the ships crew stations are specially designed with multiple inbuilt operation configurations allowing seamless operation by any suitably skilled alliance crew member.

Hull

The hull comprises of a BAE systems carbon nano tube material layered with the GGR’s latest Entwicklung ceramic composite armour. The excellent heat resistant properties of the armour give it excellent resilience against plasma based weaponry and the composites strength is highly resistant to kinetic impacts.

Systems

The Alliance class uses Earth crystal computing systems throughout. This provides ample computing power for the command and control systems.

Power distribution is handled by an Elysian power transfer system, which due to its wireless nature should provide great resilience to combat damage.


Weaponry

The ships main battery mounts several types of weaponry.

Fixed forward are two GGR 304.8mm Rausenberger high velocity cannon. These formidable kinetic weapons are of sufficient calibre to allow the use of a wide variety of payloads. Such as High explosive, APDS, Plasma charge and EM charge. Unusually both guns are fitted with an auxiliary optical targeting system to allow use in challenging electronic warfare environments.

Also fixed forward is one multirole missile tube. This can deploy ordinance with a maximum diameter of 2.2m. This includes Probes, Long range missiles and Trident nuclear weaponry.

Finally 6 turreted twin plasma cannon complete the main battery, there are based on well understood Goa’uld designs.


The ship's secondary battery consists of 2 types of defensive weapon systems. For medium to short range there are 2 Sylver missile systems each with 48 launch cells allowing for the interception of 96 simultaneous targets with a combination of medium and short range space viper missiles. For close range there are 4 Plasma defence turrets based on a Goa’uld design.

Shields

The ship is protected by 2 medium shield generators based on an existing Goa’uld design. The great power output of the GGC reactor allows this ships to operate 2 generators where as an Earth only design, for example, would only be able to operate one.
